Things to do in Sea Mills

Old Sneed Park Nature Reserve

Get lost in this wonderfully wild and beautiful nature reserve, which has been carefully maintained by local enthusiasts and nature-lovers. Wander among the trees and see if you can spy some of the 17 different species of butterflies or 40 species of birds that have been spotted here. Picnic in the ancient meadow grassland or sit by the lake, sometimes visited by herons and kingfishers. DID YOU KNOW? You will also find 400 year-old oak trees here. Originally grown for use in Bristol's shipping industry, they are now a habitat for squirrels, mice and deer. Visit in spring to spot bluebells and forage for wild garlic.
