About this trip

Can you help improve the Severn Beach Line guide?

We’re making a new audio guide app for people travelling by rail, and we need your help! By giving us your honest feedback about our work-in-progress guide for the Severn Beach Line, out of Bristol.

You can listen to a sample of the content on your phone, using WhatsApp.

Sign up, and 3 short pieces of audio (a sample of the full trip, and just 2 mins each) will be sent to you for you to enjoy, just as if you were riding the train for real.

Afterwards we’d love to hear your ideas on how to make the script better for others, through a very short questionnaire.

(Please ignore the quality of our narration – it will be professionally re-recorded later!)

This is your chance to help make train travel more enjoyable for everyone!

(FYI we won’t sell/forward or use your phone number for any other purpose beyond the purposes of this test)

In this trip

Lawrence Hill to Stapleton Road

How neighbourhoods with a more unique flavour fuelled an artistic boom, and ultimately birthed "the Bristol sound".

Redland to Clifton Down

Shipping, globalisation and migration. Plus the legacy of a city's challenging history.

The Avon Gorge and Wicker Whales

What a difference a tunnel can make. On one side: upmarket terraced houses; whilst on the other: a dramatic escarpment down to the river.
